Winners - 2019 Central Otago Triangular Team
The Central Otago Triangular team made up of Caleb Madden (Cromwell); Hannah Chisholm (Wanaka); Scott Findlay (Wanaka); Paula Macfie (Cromwell); Barry White (Omakau); Dannielle Davis (Cromwell); David Moore (Wanaka) Stacey Haig (Alexandra); Andy Rae (Cromwell); Abbie Sutherland (Alexandra) Managers: David Small (Omakau) & Andrea Hamilton (Omakau) won the 2019 Triangular Tournament hosted by the Omakau Squash Club over the weekend. The Triangular is a tournament contested annually between Midlands, Otago and Central Otago, the trophy being the 'log of wood' shown above. Central Otago played Otago on Friday night winning 6 matches to 4; 2nd round on Saturday morning was won by Otago over Midlands 8 - 2 and the 3rd and final round was won by Central Otago over Midlands 9 - 1. The tournament was played with the usual high competitive rivalry and good spirit on the court and players enjoyed a meal and country hospitality at the Omakau Hotel in the evening.
A big 'thank you' to the Omakau Club for hosting the event with special thanks to David Small and Yogi Fuehrer for their enthusiasm in making sure the event survives especially to David who was an inaugural organiser of the event and has been Central Otago Manager since day one.

Take the onerous effort out of cleaning your squash walls. The Otago Squash Club came across a cleaning sponge that made the task so easy and didn't take too long - 4 courts within an hour with two people on each court. The name of the product is Magic Nano Erasing Sponge. Click on photos to see the difference.The sponges can be purchased from the Otago Cleaning Company, 371 King Edward Street, Dunedin for $3.00 a large sponge. The sponge can be cut into 4 to make it a usuable size.
