2023 South Island Quadrangular Teams Event

Congratulations to Midlands in retaining the 2023 South Island Quadrangular  Trophy with a closely fought final against Canterbury narrowly taking the title in the last match of the tie at the event hosted by the Timaru Squash Club last weekend.  Overall positions were:  Midlands (34 points); Canterbury (32 points); Otago (19 points) & Southland (11 points).
The Otago team of Brent Taucher, Harry McDonald, Tim Cresswell, Sam Cross, Angela Button, Vicki Rae, Jess Wilson, Maz Saunders, Brad Suddaby, Mac Dean, Martha Toghill, Gabrielle Chieng, Zoe Ting, Ashton Hansen, Zac Wight, Aria Bannister & Grace Brenssell came a creditable 3rd place against Southland taking the tie 9 - 7.  Special mention of Ashton Hansen, Zac Wight, Aria Bannister & Grace Brenssell in winning the junior section with 10 points from Midlands on 7; Canterbury 6 & Southland 1.
