COVID update from SNZ including vaccination pass - self verification

8/2/2022

The My Vaccine Pass self-verification tool for iSquash has been improved since its initial release last week to add a bit more grunt to the QR code reader.  Some members were having issues with lower quality images not being able to be decoded properly.  Hopefully this will resolve issues for most trying to add their vaccination details to their iSquash profiles. Processing  details below:
The vaccination pass is not stored anywhere, rather the QR code image is extracted from the pass, decoded, validated and the members details checked against the vaccine pass (first name, last name, DOB).  If accepted, it will then update the member's details, vaccination status and expiry date.
Player profiles can still be processed by your club Isquash administrator by forwarding a copy of your vaccine pass to  sight and update.  Players can not enter vaccinated tournaments until this process has been completed.
Update & reminder from SNZ dated 8th February 2022
  • It is once again mandatory to wear a facemask in a club while not playing, eating or drinking.  Facemasks must cover a person's nose and mouth and be secured to their head by ear loops or a head loop, meaning no t-shirts, bandannas or scarves.
  • Medical facemasks (the common blue masks or N95 masks) are required for staff carrying out customer-facing work, such as club administration staff or bar staff.
  • If a club becomes a location of interest, they will be contacted by health officials who will carry out a risk assessment and determine a process for the club to work through based on the perceived public risk.  Clubs information can be found here - https://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-health-advice-public/contact-tracing-covid-19/guidance-workplaces-have-case-covid-19
  • SNZ will be keeping the COVID page on SNZ  website as up-to-date as possible (Squash NZ - Home Page of Squash in New Zealand, Play Squash, Get Fit Playing Squash Have fun squash, Covid 19) and as always the Sport NZ website is a great resource for clubs too (https://sportnz.org.nz/covid-19-response/covid-19-respobnse/covid-19-protection-framework/).
